BE A VOLUNTEER
The WCLC is allways looking for volunteers. We strive to match volunteer tutors with learners from their community. This limits transportation costs and your time travelling to tutor a learner. In general, tutors meet with their respective learner, once or twice a week for 2 hours, over a 6 month period(minimum). Materials and resources are provided for your session. All tutors are expected to attend a 2-3 hour training session before they are matched with a learner. If you know of someone in your community who wants you as a tutor, we are more than happy to help.
Available positions include:
• Computer Assistance (Arthur, Belwood)
• Literacy Tutor in Harriston, Arthur, Elora, Moorefield (will train)
• Technical Support (Arthur)
